A Lincolnshire-focused evening of conversations, creativity, and fun!
The Aspire Lincolnshire team was thrilled to welcome Lincolnshire residents of all ages to the February 23rd Comprehensive Plan Open House, hear feedback, engage in thoughtful discussion, and build community (literally). Together, Open House participants wrote “Letters to the Mayor” and opined on Lincolnshire’s focus areas, including Village Green and the former Fresh Market Site, CityPark and Par-King, the Hewitt Property, Banner Day Camp, and Lincolnshire Corporate Center.
The Team received valuable feedback and imaginative ideas for the Village’s future, which will be important in informing the Comprehensive Plan. Some of the ideas voiced and opinions shared included:
- Ensuring redevelopment of the Hewitt site is thoughtful and unique
- Reintroducing a grocery store at the former Fresh Market site.
- Adding new shopping destinations along Milwaukee Avenue.
- Maintaining open space in redevelopment, especially in areas near existing open space and forests.
- Incorporating new trails and greenways into the Corporate Center and along Milwaukee Avenue.
- Activating Stone Quarry Lake (behind Lincolnshire Commons, at Milwaukee and Aptakisic) with recreation options.

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who came out to envision Lincolnshire’s future! There is no shortage of great ideas in the Village, and we can’t wait to hear all of them as the Comprehensive Plan process continues.
